I suppose you can i just chose not to mount it to my wall because it's harder to take down whenever you choose to move.

Yes, it can be wall mounted easily. This TV replaced an older one, and we used the same wall mount. If you purchase one, be sure it is for a 50" or larger TV.

It is wall mountable. I can't do it. Maybe you can. I got a good deal on a wall mount kit from Lowes. Best Buy's wall mounts cost a lot more.
