This is my first 4K TV and I am very please so far. I did a lot of research before buying and I think it paid off. I am upgrading from a Sony Bravia 48" 1080P and I must say, this is definitely an upgrade! I was between this and the Sony Bravia X800H but ultimately decided on this one. Installing it was pretty simple, other than me not having the right size screws to mount it to my wall mount. A quick trip to the local hardware store and 4 M8-1.25x20mm screws later, I was good to go! Initial setup was straight forward and it automatically detected my inputs and programmed my remote to work with them. The picture is incredibly clear when watching 4K video. You can definitely see the difference between 4K and 1080P with this TV and the motion clarity is exceptional. Even when watching files from my USB drive, which are all standard definition, the picture quality and motion clarity are there. I can clearly see a difference between this and my old TV. Now for a few things that I don't care for. First off, the remote. It's great for people who like minimalistic things but for those of us who like a remote that is convenient, this is not a good choice! The remote has a grand total of 13 buttons plus the directional pad. One of the buttons seems completely pointless, the Ambient button. I really don't know what that is even for. There's a mic button so you can use voice remote but I watch a lot of TV while my wife is sleeping so that's not the best option. There is also a remote on the Samsung TV app but it's pretty simple too. In this category, my Sony was definitely better. I wouldn't say it's a reason not to get the TV since there are so many options for aftermarket remotes out there but it is very annoying to have such a nice TV and such a horrible remote. Another area where my old Sony excelled was the USB inputs. It had 4. This TV has 3. If you use a cable box, have a game console and use a streaming device (Roku, Fire Stick) you've used up all of your inputs! So now you get to manually swap plugs if you want to play your other game console or hook up your camera or whatever else you need to connect. Granted it's not worth the extra $$$ to get the 4th input. Just buy a splitter if you need one. The third area where this TV lets you down is the menu. I really don't like the amount of work you have to do to simply switch your input sources or change your TV's settings. Again, they could have made a better remote that had these buttons on it so the menu wasn't needed but for some reason, they didn't. I guess they figure people would rather just use voice control. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. Yes, there are a few things I don't like but I can deal with them so long as the picture remains this clear. I would recommend this TV to a friend but I would let them know ahead of time the complaints I have so they too could make the best decision.

We were happy with this Samsung 50in when we got it , it was our first "smart tv" we figured it would last a few years before we had any issues. Surprised to say the least when it died. But with our Best Buy membership and the awesome crew of Geek Squad , we were able to get our replacement with installation and a tutorial from the Geek Squad in the blink of an eye. VERY happy with our new tv . Best Buy will always be our go to store for our home entertainment needs. We highly recommend the Geek Squad from the Montebello store.

The price and the picture quality is excellent I wanted the 65 but I thought that was to big for my bedroom but it could have fitted.it was easy to set, just plugged everything in and when I turn on the tv it started setting up everything.

This tv has been a great update from my old insignia tv, has a good picture, easy to use, and works great with my Samsung DVD player. Smart functions are great also.

Although I’ve only had the smart TV for two months, I have only experienced one problem which required me to reinstall the software from Samsung, but their tech-support department was very helpful in assisting me in getting that done. And since then I have not had any issues with it! The picture quality is excellent and in addition to watching TV I also play music and watch shows on Apple TV and the other streaming services that are available I am very pleased with my purchase and for the price I believe it was an excellent value!!

After 8 years of heavy service our Panasonic 40 in LED died. We found this item by Samsung for a very reasonable price. We purchased the Geek Squad extended warranty coverage and installation. Both quite affordable and well worth it. This Samsung 50" 8 Series UHD LED with Tizen Smart TV is astounding. Incredible clarity and easy to program and operate. A few weeks later, Best Buy had it on sale for $22 less and happily refunded that amount on request. It was easy!

So far 30 days in and as advertised Great picture,sound and like all the apps and the fact it combines with cable box in just a push of a button. No complaints Would recommend this product.

With so many different offerings from Samsung, this one turned out to be a good value. Built-in APPLE TV app and airplay 2 were selling features. Bought this TV for our Gazebo. Sounds is good even for outdoors. Universal Guide is disappointing and seems to be nothing more than suggestions of movies that have to watched on separate TV apps that each of to be downloaded and accounts created. Universal Guide does not recognize any of my major streaming services.

We purchased this tv as we just moved and wanted a larger one. So far we love it! The picture is super crisp and clear. Specifically when you’re watching newer tv shows and movies. However, I’m not sure if it’s due to the picture being 4K or the Crystal UHD feature. Set-up was simple and the Smart TV features were also easy to navigate such as accessing apps like Disney+. Overall, a great tv for the price.

Love Samsung and was really impressed with the picture quality and for less then 450 bucks with tax...amazing...live the Tizen operating system and setup was a breeze from my Samsung phone! Needed it for apps and it has them all or you can add them. It's not QLED but it's thousand less and worth every penny! Trying to show pic quality but it's way better in person and I am using the standard and this is out of box with no fine tuning yet

Love the TV. Picture is sharp & sound, great. My only complaint and it is a small one is the small remote. It is difficult to use and I've reverted to the one from my cable company. But overall TV is great, especially at the price. Geek Squad delivered on schedule and had it set up quickly.

I should not write this review right now because it is quite soon to do it. We bought this TV online on June 9 and the next day it was at our door. It took us a little longer to install it because the wall mount did not come. A week later we had installed the mount and put the tv in place and started getting to know its features, which are so many... Today is July 25, 2020. In other words we had the TV working for over a month. So, the TV has a great image and a great, great sound. The Samsung channel is really nice with lots of nature programs that really seems that you are there... I highly recommend this TV.

My summery of this Flat Screen says it all... I cannot believe the clarity. The color pops, and the sound quality is unbelievable. No doubt that it has been the best Television I have ever purchased... it met and beats all of my expectations. Very happy with the purchase.

I recently purchased the Samsung 50” TV. This TV is great. I purchased it on sale and I’m extremely pleased. This TV is in my living room so I was worried because my last TV was a Sony Bravia. I moved that one into my bedroom because the bedroom TV died. The picture is amazing and this TV has just worked perfectly! So glad I purchased it!

I am so beyond over the moon with this TV. I did so much research on smart tvs before making my purchase and through literal months of deliberation I decided on this model. First of all a hard rule I had was something with apple Airplay. Second I wanted something that would make my PS4 PRO sing. So anyway wow I am blown away by the price vs performance of this bad boy. This TV is brilliant, the apps are great. I have no idea what the the reviewers are talking about having bad apps they probably have crappy internet or something. I love not needing my roku anymore, I downloaded all of my apps on to my TV and havent had any issues with it at all. My games look amazing. Truly amazing. I don’t have one complaint about it. If you are worried about the other reviews... dont because this TV is wonderful! Although I will say someone Tech clueless aka zero common sense will struggle with it. Dont buy a boomer this set for sure. Also one common review done by sites and tech bloggers was that the HDR was too dark... unless your eyes are damaged by the sun and cant take in normal light... No it isnt... lol. This tv is amazing I prefer it to the TCL 6 or the vizo M series. Thats me though. One more thing... Some Tech reviewers say you lose alot of color at an angle... No you dont. The picture is excellent on this 50” UHD model. The smart features are great and well integrated. Coming from an 8 year old smart LG tv previously, there is no comparison. But the best feature is the remote control. It is multifunction and automatically assigns itself all the button functions. Just popped in a DVD last night and voila - remote was fully functional. It is also very lightweight.

I love this thing. The 50 inch is perfect for my apartment living room. The tv is incredibly easy to use. All the features are seamless and easy to use. I love the ambient mode and music mode, as well as all the options for watching tv and movies. My Xbox works great with it. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Excellent television, beautiful picture! This is my first “Smart TV” I have flat screens that are nice, but nothing like this. The remote for the tv is small, no more foot long remotes and it looks like it came out of a Star Trek movie. I say that because there are very few buttons to push and theres a circle with a select button in the center. The circle is your up, down, left, right control. Setting up the the picture on the tv to your liking is no easy task. I went through the directions which aren’t very helpful and I ended up playing with the few buttons and on screen display and was able to set my picture the way I like it. I have a sound bar from my other TV and I tell you this TV doesn’t need it. The sound quality is very good. All in all it’s a great TV and I would recommend!

I needed a TV for my room for both video streaming through netflix and youtube, as well as music streaming (i use spotify). Picture is great, and i like this UI and the remote. The bezels are thin and screen is really nice for the price, and i’m really happy with it.

1st off incredible the TV you get for $400 now days. However, it is 2020 and I don't believe there should be lag flipping through menus or channels or with my mouse. I bought this for a 4th monitor for my PC and it works OK -great for the price-. I can sit on my bed with a wireless keyboard and mouse and have quick full access to my liking. You can find 4k videos on Youtube. I do have a Strong gaming PC with a 1080ti and I think it could really use a 2080ti. The lag is too much to ever consider this TV for computer gaming. The talk to voice remote is very limited and just bad. The Comcast one I have works perfect. Could be a bit louder, but it's good enough for me. Colors are crisp and clean. Bottom line is I'm very happy with my purchase.
