Hi DAL77! The AU8000 features a small "cutout" in the back of the TV where the power cable will connect. The cable itself is a right angle plug that is designed to fit completely in the cutout space, eliminating any additional depth to the TV that may have been caused by the power cable. You can then route the cable using the grooves on the back of the TV, again designed to eliminate additional depth. I hope this helps!
