Hi there, I am in the process of exchanging my U7900 for a U8000. When I hooked it up, I was surprised to see the U7900 has only 2 HDMI ports and no optical/audio port. Considering my previous TV from 2017 had 3 HDMIs and an optical, I was not able to hook up my soundbar and both video game consoles to the U7900 at the same time. If you need more than 2 external devices hooked up to your TV, the U7900 isn't going to cut it.

Both the U7900F and U8000F deliver stunning 4K resolution with the Crystal Processor 4K and 4K upscaling for sharp, vibrant picture quality. They also come with Samsung Knox security, Motion Xcelerator 60Hz for smooth motion, and Samsung TV Plus, which includes access to over 2,700 free channels. The U8000F offers a few extra features compared to the U7900F: it includes Samsung Daily+ Support, Quick Remote feature, and built-in SmartThings Hub integration for a smarter connected home experience. Additionally, the U8000F provides 3 HDMI ports, while the U7900F has 2 HDMI ports, giving you a bit more flexibility for your devices ~Samsung Advisor
