(I view all of my content through Roku and not using the smart tv functions so I don't know if my answer will help or not) When my tv does this it seems to have more to do with the application I am using than the tv itself. For example, when I am using PBS or MLB, I have more problems with sound and buffering than when I am using apps such as Netflix or Amazon. When this happens, I shut off the tv for a few seconds and turn it back on. This does not happen for me when using major apps like Netflix or Amazon.
