A:Answer I asked that question after returning another model I purchased online (great price but last years model) had some issues with setup. The Best Buy representative told me that 3D TVs were being phased out due to lack of interest from both the public and provider in supplying sufficient product. Since most broadcast channels won't provide 3D programming due to the higher cost camera systems, it seems that 3D hasn't lived up to the hype. Maybe going forward the manufacturers will offer add-on systems (like Blu-Ray) that will offer options to view in 3D. Hopefully that will mean the cost of additional viewing glasses will also go down. For the TV I had purchased, I only received 1 set of glasses and additional sets cost $20 each.
