Hi Larry! We recommend utilizing an RCA to HDMI converter, as this will allow you to connect your DVD player to the TU7000. Find it here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-rca-to-hdmi-converter-black/6134312.p?skuId=6134312 ^Gina
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can do one of two things: 1) Purchase an RCA to HDMI converter 2) Purchase a Blu-ray or 4K player With the first option, there may be some signal loss and if you own any Blu-ray discs, they will not play on your DVD unit. However, upgrading to a Blu-ray or 4K player is the better option. By upgrading your device to a Blu-ray player, it will allow you to connect to your Samsung Crystal TV through an HDMI cable. This will provide a much better picture and sound quality. If you choose to upgrade to a 4K player, the 4K player will automatically upscale your video output to the TV to match the display of the 4K TV. You can still play your DVDs, but while the Blu-ray player will upscale the DVD to HD, the 4K player will will not upscale your DVDs to 4k.
