My 18 year-old Samsung 40” TV finally died, so I headed to Best Buy for a replacement. I knew the newer Samsungs were both better and far cheaper than my first hi-def model, but I was blown away by both the price and the picture quality. It cost me about 30% of the price of my original TV, and came with a built-in Samsung channel network, as well as super easy access to all the main premium services. Set up was super easy, and took me no more than 20 minutes, including the time to take it out of the box. I can’t speak yet to its durability, but I’m betting on it being great because of the long service life of its predecessor. I also feel that I can view it as somewhat disposable because of its very low price point.

Best TV I have owned

I recently grabbed this Samsung TV, and I’ve been really impressed with it. The picture quality is fantastic for the price—colors are vibrant, blacks look rich, and even fast-moving scenes (like sports or gaming) stay sharp without too much blur. The smart features are super easy to use, and it has all the usual streaming apps, so setting it up was a breeze. The interface is clean and intuitive, which I appreciate because I’m not the most tech-savvy person.
The sound is decent for a TV in this price range, though if you're really into sound, a soundbar could take things to the next level. But honestly, for the price and what you’re getting, it’s hard to beat. If you’re looking for a solid mid-range TV that ticks all the boxes, I’d definitely recommend this one.

The tv I purchased was a great buy because of the sale price annnd the tv was so easy to set up. First the tv was light weight I easily put the stands on it and set it on table in bedroom. Then after connecting the cable box and turning the tv on with remote, the smart tv instructed me to follow the programming steps to set it up. It was so easy:

I am very pleased with how fast the TV is. The size is perfect, not too large and not too small. The color schematics are fantastic. It has the ability to record programs and can be used with our smart devices. The legs that it comes with are very stable and in the shape of a wishbone. I do feel like the volume could be better. The volume level only goes up to 100 and I feel like it could be amplified a lot more, so you probably need a sound bar if you are really into bass, playing games or things of that nature. I don’t need a television and people can hear three doors down, but some people might like that type of stereo sound.

Very light television and very easy to set up. Everything can easily be done from your phone. It’s also very convenient how every application is installed on the television and the control having a quick button for Netflix and Amazon prime is very helpful.

TV is good only because the internet cuts out sometimes and the apps all suck. Paramount+ won't even let me watch anything without freezing.. I can watch just fine on other devices. Even my other Samsung TV. Love and hate the remote works for both TV's and my computer monitor because that's been fun lol
But the TV is amazing quality. We haven't tried to plug it into our wifi yet. But we will try if we can

It's a TV for anyone, you can't go wrong. Great quality at an affordable price, the TV has great sound and picture with minimal adjusting needed, you could even use it out of the box and be satisfied with the quality output. Well worth the money! It looks like something I'd have shelled out more for. Playing Fortnite forever improved!

Love my Samsung TV picture quality is super I will being buying a 70” TV for our living room we have a 55” right right now that’s around 12 years old still great quality we just want a bigger picture. One thing the sound is not bad but I bought the Samsung sound bar and WOW it’s like your at the movies I’d buy one for our living room but we have a super surround sound Bose system and it’s super great! Would recommend this TV also being a smart TV streaming is easy, except for when the cable Internet is lost, which happens to much not the problem with the TV it’s with the cable company. You’ll enjoy the quality! The pictures are in movie mode.

Great for the price. Better image processing, black levels, gradient handling, and picture quality than alternatives from other brands like TCL and Vizio and Hisense.
The only annoyance I have is how slow the interface is compared to the QLed line from Samsung. I bought the 43 inch version of this and it’s interface is faster. I also tried the 65 inch version and interface is even slower. So I think if I were to go bigger I would want a better mod or external Roku or Apple TV or something.

I am pleased with the new purchase of the 55-in screen TV. I did have the exact same TV at 58 in but and a very short period of time something went wrong with that TV where it went black and would not come back on. That I ordered it online I had problems situating my return and I could not get the 58-in screen TV again which was an inconvenience to me, but I love the way it played so I settled for the smaller 55 in which is working great now :-)

Samsung 7 Series Vs LG 7 Series - 2020 Models

Being an Apple/iPhone family, I thought Samsung is more Android oriented and would go for LG tv since it has more Apple compatible features. Check out my detailed review below:
Due to covid-19 restrictions, I couldn't compare the models the way I wanted in-store but I was able to get both Samsung 7 series and LG 7 series (LG - 55" Class - UN7300 Series - 4K UHD TV - Smart - LED - with HDR, Model: 55UN7300PUF, SKU: 6401783). Samsung is far better than LG in picture clarity. The LG tv couldn't pick up the right colors and skin tones. There was too much of contrast and weird brightness on the skin. On the other hand, Samsung picture clarity was amazing and everything looked very natural and crisp clear. The stand which comes with the TV is easy to install compared to the LG.
I didn't had any issues whatsoever with the TV remote (for Samsung and LG). The Samsung TV definitely felt lighter in weight compared to LG.
LG models doesn't come with HBO MAX app or at least it hasn't been released yet. Samsung comes with HBO MAX app.
I think LG consumes more power compared to Samsung TV.
Cons: The sound output on Samsung is lower compared to LG even though both have 20 Watt speakers.
Picture clarity is the primary preference and Samsung is a win for me.

Nice quality TV for the money

I like the TV. It has a good quality picture. Its not top of the line, its not 8k, but its big, and its a great value for the money. They say you can't see the difference in much pricier higher end TV's when you are over a certain distance away.
I do have a problem with this set. It keeps asking me to do Set Up. The first question is Enter how you are connected to the internet. My TV isn't, and never will be. It wont let me finish Set Up unless there is an internet connection. My cable company did something during their overnight downloads over 10 years to my old LED tv, and it would not turn on, unless it was cable connected. This one will use an antenna, and no streaming. Its one thing to ask for set up, but this TV has asked me to do a set up 10 times a day, since I got it, and apparently will until someone else gets it. Many people are cutting the cord. Samsung has to know this, and has to have a way for us to stop showing that annoying set up message, over and over and over and over again. Is it possible this recurring screen menu is being burned into the screen, and damaging it, since it shows every time you turn it on, change channels, do a channel scan, or look at the tv guide ? This set up problem has been noted on chat forums years ago. Maybe Samsung should be required to note in its description, that this TV needs an internet connection to do the Set Up. Or they should allow you to bypass it.
Another plus is their short owners manual. Its only a few pages. My old LED Tv had a 50 page owners manual.
By the way, the signal quality is better on an antenna signal, than cable signal. Significantly better. Cable compresses the signal, but does not decompress it fully, and noticeably. Much better colors and clarity when watching a station with a strong antenna signal. I believe some people feel they need a TV upgrade for an old or failing TV, when its the cable signal thats getting worse, with each technology innovation.

We bought this TV when we moved in to our first place about a year ago and for the money, it’s 1000% worth it. Colors are bright, clarity is amazing and all the smart apps work very well. We don’t have cable and if you have YouTube TV or something similar, it makes operation so much easier.
Sound quality is decent, but we opted in going for a Sonos setup, and it all works very seamlessly.
