“Hello, Is is possible to get a different base stand in lieu of the two legs? Reason I am asking is my TV stand is currently 40" wide. I am afraid these two legs are father apart than that, which would mean this TV wouldn't fit on the stand I have.”

There are two different positions to attach the leg stands, the ones that are on the outside of the TV are 40 1/2 inches apart, the inside position is 32 inches. Leaving you with 4 inches on each side.
