Just posted a luke-warm review of the product. Although it's better than a blank TV, it's not a realistic artwork hanging on the wall. Whether it's worth 2 or 3 times than a regular TV is relative to one's disposable income, and level of geekiness. I also stood in line for an overpriced iPhone X.

It really does look like a painting and is the default 'resting' position when you hit the power button initially. You can also pay for more art options. This TV is freakishly clear. You'll see things in old movies that you never noticed before--it is like the action is taking place right in front of you.
