“There is no furniture to hide the one connect box around where this tv would go. Does the Samsung one connect box work with an eye so we can have the one connect box and cable box far away and in a separate room (and lower floor) than the actual tv?”

It seems that the remote works directly with the tv not the connect box. My connect box is in a cabinet and not in direct line with the remote and evrything works fine if I point the remote to the TV. Hope this helps.
