“Hi, Does this 55” TV stand on a tv stand SAFELY?? I have a “46” Samsung with a swivel stand but this weird looking stand on this 55” looks like the TV would be top heavy and could potentially tip????? I’m asking about the 6290 model! Thank you!”

The stand is very stable. It does not swivel though you can move the tv side to side sliding on the stand.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.For any large screen, I'd recommend using a strap system to keep the screen from tipping forward. Even if you don't have small kids, it's a good idea. The strap systems are attached to the back of the screen and are not visible from the front. They're not expensive and they will save your TV from a damaging fall. Best Buy has a set and others can be found online. Search for Antitip Straps.
