Hi TBlissert, the base of the 55" Q70A is 11.9 x 8.5 x 9.8 (WxHxD in Inches). Your mantel is not quite wide enough. You can use a wall mount over your fireplace. For this TV, you would need a VESA bolt pattern of 200 mm x 200 mm. Screws and adapters are not included with your TV. You will need 4 x M8 screws, 11 - 13 mm length, and 1.25mm pitch. ^Val
