We used it outside in our backyard to watch football. It was very bright partly because it constantly adjusts based on the conditions. We could actually see when it would adjust itself when the day would go from cloudy to bright and the reverse. We could also see it adjust itself as we went from 12 noon pregame shows all the way though sunset and 7pm final scores.

Please try again later.Hi SunShine, while the Q70 has adaptive picture which will help mitigate some of the brightness of your room, it sounds like you would be happier with the Q80 as it has better anti-reflective properties in addition to the adaptive picture capabilities which can shift gamma settings according to the rooms brightness. ^Scott
