I was looking all over for the answer for this because I'm curious, too. DP 2.1 supports up to 80Gbit/s. According to what I read, DP 2.1 will support 2x UHD monitors at 10-bit color at 120hz, which is basically what this is (two UHD monitors side by side). You'd need to lower the resolution and/or color depth to get close to the 240hz. There's a bottle neck in the data transfer rate capabilities of the video cards and inputs of the monitor. Current gen of Nvidia card only have DP 1.4 and AMD currently has DP 2.1.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.DP 2.1 supports it yet the only card with that currently is the flagship amd card. There should be a firmware update that will allow HDMI 2.1 and DP on current Nvidia cards to be able to support full res @240hz
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is true, but some GPUs can push 240Hz at 7680x2160 (DUHD) resolution. Namely, the latest Radeon cards, which have DP 2.1. With one of those, you can run Windows at DUHD 240Hz natively. I would say that this monitor will be very good for GPUs in the future when most manufacturers will adopt DP 2.1. I have a 4090, and it can be fun to push things to their limit at such a high resolution for the time being. I can't say much about MacOS, as I tend not to use Apple products in any manner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.hdmi 2.1 should support it after samsung and nvidia work on an update for nvidia gpus dp2.1 does support it at full resolution on amd 7000 series
