“Need an honest answer on optical input output please ??? Purchased this tv and a soundbar which uses a optical input-output cable...I asked the question if this tv has input-output for optical cable earlier and somebody answered "NO",but than I saw a photo of input-outputs on rear of tv in tvs decription and it shows a digital optical output...So is the photo correct or am I missing something ??? Since this tv is made for and sold by Best Buy only,there is nowhere else to check...Help ??? Thanks”

Yes this has an optical audio input/output.

It does NOT have the older RCA outputs, so if your receiver or sound bar doesn't have the optical audio interface, you will need to buy a digital to analog converter, then you can once again hook up the sound to external speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this TV after returning a 55" Insignia 4K TV that had a terrible picture. The picture on this Samsung TV is wonderful. If you have an existing wall mount, know that Samsung does not provide screws to attach the TV to the mounting bracket. You'll need (4) M8 20mm screws, which Best Buy does not sell. You can get them at your hardware store. Both speaker outputs and located together on the back. The analogue output just above the HDMI connectors, and the optical output below and to the right of them. Also, I have found this TV from a retailer other than Best Buy.
