• Hi Buyer21! You absolutely can still use the gas cooktop if there is a power outage. In fact, we've even included information on page 18 of the user manual (https://bit.ly/3E0I7ZY) on how to safely and properly light the burners manually. ^Jecca

• The gas will still operate, but because there is no electricity you will have to use matches to light it, as the electronic ignition will not work.
