Great question, mmarl! This model does have a convection fan located in the back of the unit. This fan will automatically cycle on and off when the convection bake or convection roast setting is selected. However, this model also offers standard bake and roast options that do not engage the convection fan. ^Jecca
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You engage or disengage the fan based upon whether you are using convection settings or air fry, in which cases the fan runs continuously. That having been said, the Manual notes that even on standard bake mode, a fan will come on from time to time. This is not optional. It serves the function of ensuring even temperature throughout the oven.
