“No sound on HDMI (1) only picture watching TV I bought Samsung 65" Class Curved three month ago, Costco model UN65HU7200, my problem is if I connect the HDMI Cable "4K Cable" to port 1, I do NOT get sound watching TV, I only receive picture. However I can watch DVD and receive Sound and Picture. The Cable has to be on HDMI (3) to receive sound and picture from Verizon. The Samsung Technician came to the house and tested the TV and said as long I am getting sound and picture from port 1, meaning the port is Ok and suggested calling Verizon, I called Verizon to discuss the issue they said that their Top Cable Box does not support 4K. My question is there something wrong with the HDMI port (1), that I should have Samsung address again? or it is true about the Verizon Cable Box.”

It sounds like your issue lies with Verizon considering you have sound when you watch DVDs. You're ahead of the curve (pun intended) on the 4K technology and many services/providers don't have that capability yet, but it's coming. To get a better sound, I recommend getting a sound bar no matter what. You just spent a couple thousand on a super nice TV, I recommend getting the sound bar to get the best audio available. TVs nowadays are not built for quality sound.
