Unfortunately the One Connect is required as the actual TV itself doesn't have any HDMI slots on it. You'd have to do what I do, and plug all your devices into your receive for pass through, then plug into spot 4 on the One Connect which is considered the "ARC" port for audio return. From that point, just leave the TV itself on HDMI 4 and control from your receiver as your original posted you'd like to do. Hope that answers your question.
