“Just replaced a 52" Sony with this last night, and the picture doesn't look nearly as sharp as the Sony. Made all the setting changes mentioned at rtings.com, but maybe I'm missing something? If not, I'm pretty disappointed in the picture quality.”

Not sure where your picture is coming from, I have Directv and I also have an antenna. The Directv picture is not neatly as good as what I get from the antenna. Netfilx broadcasts in 4K and the picture is outstanding. Try checking your source.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't like the settings on rtings either. Starting with rtings settings, try to push the Backlight up in the picture settings. See if you like it better that way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was also initially disappointed in the picture quality when I first installed it. I reset my settings, use "natural" for all inputs and turned off "Auto Motion Plus", that helped a lot. I also found that over the air broadcast dtv doesn't have very good quality vs the built in apps like Netflix or Plex. It might be me getting used to the picture, but I feel like after a few weeks the picture on mine has actually gotten better without changing anything in settings.
