Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A technician from a TV repair place told me that just unplugging the television from the wall for a few minutes can reset the computer board on some of the first and also the newer TV's because they have a computer board inside and this is how you reset it. Kind of like rebooting a computer. A factory reset can also be used to get some quirks out. Just turning it off and on is not the same as unplugging it. We tried it on our Sony because occasionally the sound will go out on it and this works every time which is only about 3 times a year so I'd rather do that then go get a new TV when it works perfectly otherwise. A lot of people get rid of a TV thinking it is broken when in fact it is not. Give these ideas a try first. And check YouTube for helpful hints also. I have fixed quite a few items this way including the four wheel drive on my truck. That's saying a lot for a stay at home mom with no background in Electronics or Mechanical repair!
