“Does the remote control for this TV have all the necessary functions for the setup of the television, or is it just a simple remote control only with the power and the buttons to change channels and increase the volume like some Vizio televisions?”

• This is a smart remote. While "simple" in appearance, it does everything you need it to do. I have not picked up the remote that my Directv provided me with since I bought this tv.

• Hi Kharlos, The remote that comes with the TV has 100% functionality. You can change any setting on the TV with it. ^Scott
