Is there a way to turn off the osd (on screen display) for volume level? On my current Samsung TV, it's so annoying to see the large volume setting display when adjusting the volume. Does Samsung offer a model where OSD can be turned off? null

Yes there is. Tv on, volume set to zero, connect a blue tooth device, disconnect the blue tooth device  the tv will not display volume setting on screen.

When TV is on, turn volume down to 0. Then connect TV sound to a blue tooth device (head phones, ear buds, etc), wait 5 seconds. and then disconnect blue tooth device. OSD (on screen display) of Volume will not display until TV is turned off. Q80 4K 55"
