My installers used the HDMI cables that were already in the wall and hooked it into a mini splitter. I'm receiving a much better picture than we did with our previous TV. Both being 65" Samsung's.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does matter. If you have a 4k Blu-ray player you will need thr 4k hdmi and a 4k Blu-ray movie. If you have a 4k gaming system like the ps4 pro or xbox one x. 4k hdmi is needed to view the content in 4k. If your cable provider doesn't offer 4k channels then no, a 4k hdmi is not needed. I have DirecTV and they offer 4k channels and the 4k receiver and hdmi is required for viewing the content that is available through them.
