• It is not a replacement for Apple TV hardware. The Apple TV icon takes only takes you to your Apple purchases. If you only use Apple TV hardware for streaming, you won’t need it. This TV will stream everything Apple TV will stream. I was planning to update my Apple TV hardware to 4 K. No need to. This TV will stream everything I was using my Apple TV for, in 4K.
