The Q70R is equipped with Anynet+ (HDMI -CEC) with allows compatible equipment to control each other and turn each other on/off, for example, whenI turn my cable box on my TV turns on also and viseversa. Sometimes when my cable provider pushes an update to my cable box in the middle of the night the cable box reboots and turns on, and because of CEC my TV turns on also, to me this is not a big deal and I prefer having CEC on, you can try turning this feature off to see if this is your problem, to turn it off go to Menu/General/External Device Manager/Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), make sure the bullet dot is grayed out (green/blue means it’s on). Hope this helps. P.S. CEC stands for Consumer Electronics Control
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Samsung qled 70 r. I don’t have your problem. My tv is perfect and I have it set up to Verizon Fios, Alexa, Verizon internet, Apple TV and Disney plus. I can use either the Verizon fios remote or the Samsung remote. The tv works the same on both. Perfect. I had my TV set up by geek squad and it is flawless. So perhaps your issue may be your set up or your cable company. If you have optimum cable service your devices and tv don’t ever work right. I know I had them in my area until Verizon Fios came. And I dumped them for Verizon Fios. Never had any issues on all kinds of weather with Verizon Fios or my beautiful Samsung. Oh I also have a good power surge protector that I purchased at Best Buy !
