“The holes in the back of the Q70 65" don't look to have threads - I do have to buy the screws which didn't come in my mount. Are the threads all the way at the end of the screw holes?”

Yes, the threads are deep in the holes. I believe the instructions explained which screws should be used. Also, be sure to use the wall mount spacers that came in the box. That should ensure you can find the appropriate, standard wall mount screw and ensure as much of the threads are used as possible; last thing we want is to see our TVs fall from the sky ;).
