• Depends on the amount of inputs you have. If you have 1 input, ie Xbox, then you need one cable. If your passing through a sound bar, you need two. A regular cable will work. I do not recommend it. I'm using 21gbs cable and I can see the difference.

• The TV has 3 HDMI ports. I had no difficulty using the HDMI cables I had hooked to my previous flatscreen.
