If you hit the menu button on your TV remote, you should be able to scroll over to the right until you see sound options. From there you should be able to select the optical output. Hope this helps. If you are still having issues finding it, I was able to pull up a video on menu navigation for the Q70R on youtube. It was helpful. Good luck!!
