It depends what tv you are upgrading from. I have 2 Mu8000 Sammy’s from 2018 and I always felt like the dark scenes were not dark enough and the color was somewhat washed out compared to my Plasma tv. The picture was clear and the “One Remote” made it very easy to use. I just bought a q70r over the weekend and love it. The darks scenes are plasma level with the full array, and the picture is so clear, you can see every scar, pore and imperfection on peoples faces. I paid $1397 for the 65” Q70r while I could have gotten the 8 series for $997. I say yes it’s worth it. Just for comparison I bought my 65” MU8000 for $1200 in 2018.
