Do you need Alexa to use the voice remote? null

The TV gives you an option to choose between two AI assistants, Alexa and I believe googles Ai. I do not feel comfortable with either so I opted out of the voice commands.

Yes and no, you can use the voice on commands like search in YouTube when prompted to use the microphone. However if you just press the microphone button without being prompt to use voice in a search box. It directs you to log into Alexa, I don’t use Alexa but it hasn’t stopped me from using it as a speech to text while doing voice searches.
