So this is a black friday model of the tv that came out in 2022. The current C series Samsung TVs (7000c/8000c) are kind of comparable, but not directly. They use similar components, but this is a budget oriented version of them that comes down in the middle of the two of them. Allegedly this is a direct lit screen, but some specs say it's edge lit. That is the one major pro this tv has. Otherwise the 8000c will beat it in most categories, but for the price difference this is a great option as long as it lasts.
