“My projector has HDMI1 and HDMI2 ports. We have the firestick in HDMI1 and the soundbar into HDMI2 on the projector from HDMI1 on the soundbar. We have NO sound. What are we doing wrong?”

If your soundbar has an HDMI input and an arc output, I would put the firestick in the HDMI input and run a HDMI cable from the arc output to the projector. Unless the projector has an output port for the HDMI, then it won't send sound to the soundbar.
