“Why does the dryer make a scraping sound? When we do a full load of clothes in the dryer, the dryer makes a horrible scraping sound. It is a toss up whether clothes will come out damp or dry when we set the dryer to go. We almost never dry on normal as that seems to always come out damp. Does eco dry mean that the clothes will not actually get dry even if the dryer runs for over 2+ hours?”

My dryer does not make a horrible scraping sound. But eco dry does not completely dry the clothes. I'm thinking this is a choice that is better for hot, dry climates and not for us in the wet, colder areas. I unselected eco dry and the clothes are perfectly dry now. I might retry eco dry in the hotter summer months but for now, I need the clothes dry.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.These dryers are sensor controlled could be that or you could have a bad element. Just bought a new dryer a GE.nSamsungs look better than they perform. Disconnected the steam because no purpose for it could use a wet washcloth just as well.
