“Since the lint catcher is inside the dryer door, does it have lint all over the outside of the catcher and all over the clothes next to it when you open the dryer door? We have a GE dryer right now that always leaves lint on clothes.”

No lint on clothing or outside of the dryer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Though I'm not impressed with the lint catcher design, I can say that there is no lint left on our clothes. Also I'm not a fan of any GEs products.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't had any problems so far with lint being anywhere other than contained in the filter. This filter has a 'door' on it that holds the lint in place. Put it over a trash can, open the door and shake off the lint. Easy and neat.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had a problem with lint remaining on the clothes. And lint also does not build up on the outside of the catcher. The system is more open at the top of the lint catcher and closed at the bottom of it, so maybe this explains why. I don't know about lint being pushed through the vent as of yet. Only had this model a couple of months.
