• If you want to use the steam feature, the answer is yes.They did provide a one to two fitting for the cold water outlet and a pretty long hose for the dryer with the machine.

• It has to be connected to cold water line. it comes with a splitter for your Washer cold water line and includes a hose. However don't get too excited. we have used the feature but instead of steam it seems to spray water on the clothes and doesn't do any better than throwing a wet towel in with your wrinkled clothes.

• Yes, in order to use the steam feature this dryer needs to be connected to a water line.
