“I own a Whirlpool Duet. After 10 years I'm looking to purchase a new washer and dryer, this model in particular. With my Whirlpool dryer you cannot use dryer sheets due to the sensors inside the drum that detect dampness. Is it the same for this model?”

• We just replaced our deut and we used drier sheets in every load. We never had a problem with the sensors until the last month or so to which we found out the computer board was going bad in two areas. My wife puts drier sheets in the newest and has yet to complain about it.

• Great question, Texas4Ever! Sometimes dryer sheets can interfere with the accuracy of sensor dry cycles, but they do not affect timed dry cycles. ^Jecca
