Hi Jo! You would need a larger stand to support the TV or explore a wall mounting solution. The feet are spaced 49.7" apart, I would suggest a minimum of a 50" wide tabletop to support the TV. The more room you can provide the feet for support, the safer your TV will be from accidents or falling over. ^Tim

I have a 46" stand, so, solution is to get an inexpensive wall mount (can cost you under $20) or a larger stand ($200 minimum, likely more). Once you mount it on the wall, which is not too difficult to do, you can get a cable concealer (again, under $20) to hide your power, hdmi, coax, etc.) for a smooth install.
