I just bought one a week ago. i hooked up my stereo through the ARC which is HDMI 1. It also has a eARC capable. In fact when hooking up the ARC, make sure you do not select eARC from the Sound setup unless you do have eARC sound device. I had not notice the "e" in eARC and took me a while to trouble shoot as i was not getting any sound at first :-)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you look at the pictures displayed for this specific TV, it shows an EARC hdmi port right on the back of the set! I don’t know why Samsung is saying it doesn’t have it, when the pictures right here on the Best Buy website show that it does!....?
