• Buy and HD antenna for local channels or a streaming service like YouTube TV or Sling TV.

• There is also a service provided by locast.org, but it is only available in certain areas. It is free for live broadcast TV in your area (where available), but it will remind you every 15 minutes that they are a non-profit. You can get rid of these reminders by donating $5/month. It's a lot cheaper than most OTA services and your best alternative when you live in an area where reception is bad (a valley or lower floors of a major city. As far as I know, however, they do not provide any kind of on-demand, recording, or other service where you can watch a program at a later time, but you have to watch live, meaning with any commercials that may be present.
