• After using the RF remotes, you can't go back (Infrared) to using the ones you have to point. We have several Samsung sets. Having to point the remote is non-sense and aggravating. Come on Samsung, update all your remotes to RF.

• Hi Ricky, The CU8000 TV remote does use Infrared technology. However, once the TV is turned on, you can control it via voice assistant, or you can control the TV on your Android or Apple device via the Samsung SmartThings app. ~Samsung Advisor
