Can i lay it down for transportation null

Yes. I had to lie my down in the back. I have a 2019 GMC Denali and had to fold the 3'rd and 2nd row seats forward and it fit right in with no problems. However, you be sure to have them put the screen side up always, and always use at least two people when moving it.
