The TV has 50 zones and is almost half of what the 80R from last year came with. This seems like an updated version of the 70R. They can talk algorithms all they want, but the number of zones definitely makes a difference when you are trying to dim down certain parts of the screen while keeping others lit. My Q9FN has 480 zones and I'm really having a hard time finding a replacement but really want to move up to a 75 inch and Samsung is making it really hard..
