“My home was pre-wired for home theather/hdmi about 8-yrs ago, will my current HDMI be an issue projecting picture for this model? I understand that I may not be able to get 4k quality but will I get a decent picture if any at all with my current wiring?”

This TV isn't a projector. HDMI hasn't changed from 8 years ago.
