“So I dinged my tv on the left lower part of the screen in the crevis just inside the outer frame now it has a small crack side of a penny and now the tv backlight flickers on and off ? Is there any suggestions on what should I do ? Like a hard reset”

Your screen is Physically damaged, so only a Physical repair can fix it (No reset or software will fix am broken screen) Only 2 options - Take it to a TV repair center and pay nearly as much as the TV itself costs or just buy a new TV.
