“Is my cable not compatible from my psu? Can't seem to get it in. Do I need an adapter of sorts. Pic attached”

It should b able to plug and play w ur psu’s molecule cable, it goes in a certain way only

As long as it's a SATA power cable, that should plug in fine. However, please note that the cable does need to in a particular orientation. I attached an image and notice there's a notch on one side of the cable. It should match up with the notch on the SSD.
