The samsung ssd is thinner and may need a small strip of foam tape to prevent it from disconnecting itself. This upgrade from an hdd to a ssd will make a giant difference in the loading times of programs and your OS. You will also need a hard drive bridge with a usb connection to clone the hard drive to the new drive. Just make sure to choose a cloning software that allows a hhd to be cloned to an ssd.
