Looking at the box it was made in Korea. I would not let this deter you from purchasing this item. It works flawlessly and was very easy to install. The box comes with the drive only. You would also have to purchase a mounting set and a data cable, neither which are expensive. I use this drive to support all my games. Very fast. Love it.
