Yes, I have an Otterbox Defender on my GS7 and it works fine. The only thing is that it is a little finicky and you have to situate the phone PERFECTLY on the charger. But it's not a big deal, because you get a blue light and a beep, when you get it right.
I just love it.

Yes, I have an Otter Box with my Samsung Note8 and have no issues with the wireless charger. The phone must be face up (back of phone on charger) so if you are charging at night, any email, notification, etc. may cause your room to light up depending on how you have your phone set up.
